To access Medicare-rebated psychologist sessions, you are required to have a GP/Doctor referral and Mental Health Care Plan.

Please Book an appointment with your GP to organise this documentation. Once completed, your GP can forward the referral to us.

Please contact your health insurer to check whether psychological therapy services are covered under your policy, as coverage can vary between providers and policy types.

Rebate amounts also differ depending on your level of cover, so it’s best to confirm directly with your insurer what rebate you may be eligible to receive.
Full payment of the session fee is required at the time of your appointment. Tele-Psych will provide you with an invoice, which you can submit through your health insurer’s online portal to claim your rebate.

Work Cover & Traffic Accident Insurance​​

If your claim is approved for psychological therapy, your WorkCover insurer will cover the full cost of your sessions.
​
​We provide WorkCover and Traffic Accident claims. We are providers for SIRA, WorkCover QLD, TAC, Allianz, Suncorp & Other state agencies. Please contact our team and will contact your claims manager to find out if you have been approved for psychology therapy services under your claim.

Full fee applies when you are not claiming with Medicare or Private Health Insurance.
NDIS
Our psychologists are able to provide therapy to clients who are self-managed or plan-managed under the NDIS.
Please note that we are not a registered NDIS provider, so we are unable to offer services to clients who are NDIA-managed.

Reduced Fee Sessions
If you are experiencing financial hardship and have a Mental Health Care Plan from your Doctor and a concession card (Centrelink Health Care Card or Pension Card) you can apply for reduced fee sessions. Should finances continue to be a barrier to you starting treatment please give us a call to discuss your situation or complete our application form by clicking here.
Report Writing
Please be aware there is a cost involved for our Psychologists to write reports or complete certain documents on your behalf. Please discuss your report request with your Psychologist or speak to our reception team.
Cancellation Policy
Tele-Psych requires at least 48 hours notice regarding rescheduling and cancellation of booked appointments.
You can notify us via SMS, email, or telephone.
Cancellations made with less than 2 business days’ notice will incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled fee.
If you cancel on the day of the appointment or fail to attend, 70% of the scheduled fee will apply.
Please note that Medicare does not provide rebates for cancelled appointments, so you will be charged the full session fee.
Our cancellation policy ensures that we have enough notice in order to reallocate your appointment should you be unable to attend.
